What types of pallets does Advanced Handling Systems manufacture?
We manufacture a full range of wood and plastic pallets tailored to your specifications. Our product line includes standard GMA 48x40 pallets, custom-sized platforms, heat-treated pallets for international shipping, and recycled pallets for cost-effective solutions.
Each pallet is designed using the Pallet Design System (PDS) software developed at Virginia Tech. This ensures that every pallet meets your load requirements while optimizing material usage and cost.
Whether you need a one-time order or ongoing supply, we build pallets that balance safety, durability, and value for your specific application.
What areas does Advanced Handling Systems serve?
Our manufacturing plant is located in LaGrange, Georgia, and we primarily serve the Greater Atlanta metropolitan area and surrounding regions. This includes cities such as Atlanta, Newnan, Carrollton, Columbus, and Macon.
Through our partnership network with pallet plants located across the United States, we also provide nationwide service. This means you get consistent quality, pricing, and service whether your operations are local or spread across multiple states.
How does the pallet design process work at AHS?
We use the Pallet Design System (PDS) software, a computer modeling tool developed at Virginia Institute of Technology. When you submit your specifications, our team analyzes your load requirements, handling conditions, and storage environment.
The software generates an optimized pallet design that provides maximum safety and performance at the best possible cost. An under-built pallet is dangerous and an over-built pallet wastes money, so our engineering approach eliminates both problems.
From initial consultation to delivery, we guide you through every step to ensure the final product performs exactly as needed.
Do you offer pallet repair and recycling services?
Yes, pallet repair is one of our core services. We restore broken and damaged pallets so they can be safely reused in your operation. This significantly reduces your pallet costs compared to purchasing new units every time.
We also recycle pallets because we care about the environment. Wood from pallets that cannot be repaired is recovered and repurposed, keeping usable materials out of landfills while supporting sustainable business practices in the pallet industry.
How long has Advanced Handling Systems been in business?
Advanced Handling Systems has been operating since 1996, giving us over 25 years of experience in the pallet industry. Our team brings more than 30 years of combined expertise in material handling, pallet design, and logistics.
This depth of experience means we understand the challenges businesses face when it comes to pallet supply, quality control, and cost management. We have built long-term relationships with customers across Georgia and the entire Southeast region.
Can you provide heat-treated pallets for international shipping?
Absolutely. We offer heat-treated pallets that comply with ISPM 15 international phytosanitary standards. These pallets are thermally processed to eliminate insects, larvae, and other biological organisms that could pose ecological risks during cross-border shipping.
Each heat-treated pallet receives the official IPPC stamp certifying compliance. This prevents customs delays, fines, and shipment rejections at international ports of entry.
If your business exports goods to Europe, Asia, or other regulated markets, we can supply properly treated and certified pallets ready for international transit.
